I'm writing a blogpost today that has less Disney and fashion content, but has just as great an importance to me as those things do and I hope you'll take in the things I have to say, things that are close to my heart and part of my everyday living.
I never thought I would be experiencing this day, a day which marks 5 years since I first got ill with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. An invisible illness that many suffer from. I was 13 years old when this illness hit me, an illness I had never heard of, but would become very familiar with. I was given the information that I would be recovered by 5 years, back to being healthy and having no more limitations or setbacks, but here we are. 5 years on and a lot has changed, but yet again, it hasn't really. My health has had its serious ups and downs, Year 11 being the worst where school was non-existent and my life was lived mainly at home on the sofa while I pushed myself to get my GCSEs. For Sixth Form my health improved and I was thankful for those years where everything was pretty much smooth sailing, for the most part, I even got into University. I moved to Norwich to study at UEA.. and then left in January as it was all too much. So even though I have grown while being ill, I still have the same thing to deal with. I can't remember what it feels like to be well, what it felt like before I got this illness. We all have things that stop us and cause us struggles, and for me and many others around the world, it's called Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
To give you a little insight into what CFS/ME is and how it affects me, my symptoms include; fatigue, tiredness, headaches, dizziness, being lightheaded and faint, muscle and joint pains, intolerance to light and sound, nausea, brain fog, and no doubt there is more that I have forgotten because all of this is just my reality now. Those symptoms don't even include the mental side to it either. It brings anxiety and depression, the feeling of constant loneliness and isolation, and for many days I feel like a burden to those that I know and care about, who put so much energy and love into caring for me.
I will say that I have made myself proud in these last 5 years like I never thought I could. I like to stand back and actually think of all I have achieved, and I am pretty pleased with myself. Most days these achievements take the form of getting out of bed and getting dressed, but there has been others like completing my studies and exams, and passing my driving test. These things mean so much to me as the everyday tasks are a struggle and a half most of the time. The best way I can explain how this illness affects my body is by saying it takes me twice as much energy to do something but my body only creates half the normal amount of energy. I remember my doctor at Great Ormand Street Hospital said "it's like having flu, not sleeping for 3 days, and still going about your daily activities." There has been days throughout my 5 years, and I know there will be more in the future, where I feel annoyed and upset and angry and ask myself "why me?", but learning to not fight the diagnosis was the best thing I ever done.
So why am I writing this blogpost? In all honesty there's no real reason, but yet there's a million of them. I aim to do a more detailed and powerful post in the future when, ironically, I'm not so tired or busy. I want to educate, I want to inform people on this illness and give people an idea of the reality that so many people face. And sadly, this illness is highly under-researched and many are "nonbelievers" and are of the opinion that people are faking it. There is nothing I want more than to do a proper post, one that will raise the right awareness. But for now this is all. Happy 5 years to me.
Much Love,
Jessica Rose (The CFS Princess) ♡

Dr Martens x LazyOaf Review♡
The day has come where I finally own my first Lazy Oaf item, but never in a million years did I think it would be a pair of boots. On the 29th March Lazy Oaf and Dr Martens released a collaboration of the most gorgeous suede boots in both black and pink which I fell in love with. I knew the collaboration was happening and had seen all the photos showcasing the boots in all their glory, and deep down I knew I would not be able to resist them. I have had them for over a week so I have had time to wear, admire and get a good enough opinion on them to write a review, so here we are~
This collaboration consisted of one style of boot in two colours. The style is a gorgeous buckle boot with quite a large black platform (perfect for all us short girls out there). This collaboration unites both brands and showcases their iconic elements perfectly, the boot style screams Dr Martens while the cute addition of the heart shaped buckles, as well as the contrasting colour heart at the back, highlights Lazy Oaf's style.
I love these boots a lot. Firstly, the colour is gorgeous, it gives these clompy, big platformed boots a cute twist, which is what I am all about. I feel the suede material really compliments the pink as well, giving the shoes a gorgeous look.
Secondly, the shape of the buckle boots are everything I needed. My ankles are constantly giving way so I need a sturdy boot to give me absolute support so I don't end up on the floor looking like an absolute klutz, and having saw ankles for days. The three buckle straps definitely give support and still look adorable - practical and looks cute? What a win. Not only that, but the soles are so cushioning, so add comfy to the pros list.
I love these shoes and I am so glad a manged to get them. They're cute, practical and pink - everything I want in a boot, and I will be wearing constantly and showing them all the love and attention they deserve.
Much love,
Jessica Rose♡

March Favourites♡
Happy April lovelies, I hope you had a good Easter and are ready to start a new month. Looking back, March flew by, and in all honesty I can't remember what I spent the month doing. The one thing I can say though, is that there have been many thing that I have most definitely been LOVING. So I thought what better than to share it with you~
Primark Marie Bedding
I had to make this the first thing I spoke about, I am in love with it. If you couldn't tell from my last post, I am a HUGE Marie fan, so this new collection from Primark is heaven to me. The item that has stood out most to me though is this bedding. I love Primark bedding anyway, but this pastel pink one really is beautiful with the Marie print on both the duvet cover and pillowcase. It is double sided which means things can be switched up, and it matches my room beautifully. The only thing I will say is it is quite a big fit on a single duvet but I think that was down to my low tog. This cost £15, which is a little bit pricey for Primark but most definitely worth it!
Tee and Cake Macaron Jumper
This jumper I looked at on multiple occasions but stopped myself from purchasing. Then one spontaneous look in Topshop led to me buying it - and I don't regret it one bit. As I write this I am currently wearing the jumper. It has been my most worn item in March - it's cute, it's comfy, and it has macarons on it, does it get any better than that? Recently I have been wearing clothes on the comfier side, so it has been amazing to find a jumper this comfy that also looks super adorable. This is from the brand Tee and Cake and costs £30.
Animal Crossing Pocket Camp
Now this app has been out for a while and definitely received some serious hype when it was first released - and then many lost interest, including me (oops). But March was the month that I got back into it, and I am absolutely OBSESSED again. The app is simple, but that is what is so great about it. It's easy, it's chill, and now there is always new events to try out which means less chance of getting bored - I particularly loved the fishing tourney and can't wait for the next one! I am a person who finds it difficult to relax, rest and do nothing, but this app gives me an excuse to sit down with a cup of tea and just chill for a bit. Animal Crossing Pocket Camp is available on iOS and Android - and it is free. Add me using 1849 1962 337
Green Tea
I have been LOVING green tea throughout March, just plain old green tea. This is how I have been starting my mornings in March and it will definitely be something I shall stick with. I love regular tea, a lot, and by no means do I prefer green tea over it. But green tea is definitely the best way to start my mornings, it is light and refreshing and really helps to wake me up.
Too Faced Natural Love Palette
I got this eye shadow palette for Christmas and I have been using it since then, but March was the month I really experimented with the different colours it has to offer - and I LOVE! This eye shadow palette from Too Faced fulfils all my spring needs (which the weather is clearly depriving me of). There is such a wide range of colours, and while I usually stick to pale colours and pinks - I have been using the orange and brown toned shades which are absolutely gorgeous. I had a few interviews and different events during March, and each time I turned to this palette and was not disappointed. Most places it is sold out, however this site has it for £42.
That's all for my March favourites, you will definitely be hearing from me more this April as I have many posts planned!
Much love,

Everybody Wants To Be A Cat inspired outfits♡
Hello lovelies, I don't know if you have noticed but there is a huge love and appreciation for Marie, the cute and sassy kitten from Disney's "The Aristocats." I for one am all for this and I am embracing the craze 100%, especially as I have never found a character that I am so similar to~
So I decided what better than coming up with a cute Marie inspired outfit, a slight Disney Bound if you will. But I decided 1 just wasn't enough, so today I'm going to share 2 Marie inspired outfits that scream cute Parisian cat.
OUTFIT 1
For this outfit I paired this gorgeous cat pinafore dress from Forever 21 (linked is a similar style on their site) with a basic pink tee from Primark. This follows Marie's signature colour pallet of white and pink whilst incorporating the cat theme. This outfit is perfect for the Disney parks as well as for your casual average day, the best of both worlds. As a bonus - the outfit works with and without tights, a must for every outfit here in England.
I added some cute white frilly socks (similar) from Primark as well as my highly loved pink bow shoes from ASOS (similar), of course I had to use these because Marie is all about the bows.
The cat embroidery on this pinafore dress brings in the Aristocats element while still being subtle, and oh so adorable~
OUTFIT 2
My second Marie inspired outfit has a french element while still keeping the cute pastel colour theme that she is well known for. I'm wearing my pastel pink tee from Primark which has the word "Oui" printed on the front - a very nice Marie touch. I paired this with my much loved pleated white skirt from H&M (black version). This outfit, to me, gives of a cute and playful vibe, what better for an outfit inspired by Marie?
I put on the most adorable Marie socks from Primark. The print and the colour, as well as the frilly accent, really add to the outfit bringing it to a whole new Marie level. I am also wearing these Holographic Adidas Superstars, a really cute and fun pair of shoes.
When I think of Marie I immediately think about a cute, funny and stylish cat (who knows where it's at c;) and I definitely think that these outfits are perfect for channelling your inner Disney Marie!

Make 2018 A Lush One: 5 Lush Products To Kick Start Your New Year ♡
Hello and a happy 2018 to you~ I hope you had a great Christmas and started the year off well. I'm currently home on Christmas Holiday from uni, meaning I finally have a bath!! I find baths so relaxing, a great excuse to wind down and take a moment for myself. And of course, what is a bath without some kind of Lush product?! So I figured I would gather a few Lush products that I think anyone should be going into the new year with!!
SLEEPY BODY LOTION
This Sleepy body lotion is a lifesaver for any of you sleep deprived cuties !! It's part of the 'Twilight' scent collection and has a gorgeous pastel purple colour. It has the most relaxing scent, predominantly made up of lavender. This product hasn't got the name Sleepy for no reason, it is a wonderful addition to anyone's nighttime routine. You just take a small amount and rub it into your skin. Not only does it help you sleep but it also moisturises as well, double bonus !! The new year calls for a better chance for sleep, and this is just the product for it. For a small tub its £7.95, and a little goes a long way.
TWILIGHT BATH BOMB
Another product from the 'Twilight' range, meaning its another that has a calming and relaxing result. Lush is known for their bath products, especially their bath bombs, so of course I had to include one on this list. Now I'm a new user of the Twilight bath bomb, but I am completely in love with it. It gives off the most gorgeous pastel swirls, as well as a scent that is just the embodiment of relaxation, everything I want from my bath time. The bath bomb costs £3.95 and is available all year round, a perfect Lush product to kick off your new year.
LEMONY FLUTTER
I know that when the new year comes around, one of the things I aim to do is get my nails healthy and strong. Lemony Flutter is a cuticle butter that is perfect for getting nails into a great condition, and smells fantastic. As the product title suggests, it has a lemon scent which is nice and fresh, perfect for a new year. A little goes a long way and definitely has positive results. You can get a tub from Lush for £7.50.
THE COMFORTER BUBBLE BAR
This product is for the times you want to treat yourself but you're also keeping an eye on your cash. The Lush bubble bars are perfect for creating beautiful and delicious smelling baths, and the best thing about them is you can use them for more than one bath. I can easily get my bubble bars to last for at least 4 baths, while still creating plenty of bubbles. The Comforter gives off a fresh and fruity smell which is not too overpowering. As well as the heaps of bubbles, it also creates a pretty pink colour in the bath. The Comforter is a go to bubble bar available all year round, and costs £4.95.
BUBBLEGUM LIP SCRUB
Last but not least is one of Lush's lip scrubs. The Bubblegum Lip Scrub was one of the first non-bath Lush products that I purchased, and I have loved it ever since. Entering the new year, sadly in England, you're faced with the cold weather of winter which can bring many things, one of which is dry, chapped lips. Not fun. This however fixes that, a quick scrub with this and your lips are left feeling soft, as well as tasting sweet. The small pot lasts a long time, and only costs £5.95.
I hope your year goes well and I look forward to sharing more post with you soon!
Much love,
Jessica Rose♡
